Last Saturday night The Reserve in Cape Town played host to the launch event of the new Bentley Continental GT V8 with Dom Pérignon. An afternoon of polo, fashion and charity, the 3rd Annual Blackberry Pink Polo 2012 event took place on Saturday, 27 October 2012 at the luxurious Val de Vie Estate. Guests including Ryk Neethling, Jennifer Su, Roxy Louw, Marilize de Clercq, Brigitte Willers, Richard Hardiman, Peta Eggierth-Symes (Pallu) and Kuli Roberts donned their finest hats and fascinators for an afternoon of champagne and canapés with awards for ‘Best Dressed’ and musical entertainment. Television & Radio Personality Jennifer Su looked radiant in a gorgeous pink dress and hat by Pallu and limited edition Carol Boyes Breast Cancer Awareness neck piece with Tiffany & Co sunglasses by Sunglass Hut. Stylist to the stars, Marilize de Clercq‘s looked chic in a fresh, summer dress by HipHop. Also at the prestigious event were designers Kerry and Dominik from The Little Hattery who created many of the guests hats and lavish fascinators. This year, two top female Polo teams, The Curves and The Bolds, played an exciting match on Val de Vie’s celebrated polo fields while guests enjoyed champagne by Pongraz, fashion by Polo SA, accessories and gifts from Carrol Boyes and an Elizabeth Arden pampering area. The Annual Blackberry Polo event, organized by Edith Venter is a charity event to support the cause of women’s wellness and the fight against breast cancer in aid of Reach for Recovery.

Some of SA’s top celebrities were recently treated to champagne and sushi at Caribbean Tan‘s Celebrity Launch event at Sevruga Restaurant in Cape Town. Spokesperson and representative of Caribbean Tan, Cindy Nell was joined by television personality Jennifer Su, models Lisa Cowley, Roxy Louw, Tanya Van Graan and more to celebrate in style. The most prestigious equestrian event on South Africa’s social calendar, the 152nd L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate took place at the Kenilworth Racecourse last Saturday in glamourous style.

MC and face of the event, Jo-Ann Strauss arrived wearing an unforgettable blue dress by Stefania Morland with accessories by Joya Collection and limited edition Louis Vuitton bag. Television and radio personality Jennifer Su made an appearance wearing an elegant royal blue dress and fascinator by Pallu, “I decided on royal blue this year in honor of the royal family. I’m having a wonderful time at the Queen’s Plate, this is my very favourite horse-racing event of the year,” says Su.

Guests including some of South Africa’s biggest names in entertainment, media and television cordially dress to the nines in blue and white, as this stylish event’s dress code demands.  In it’s own league as a horse-racing event, the Queen’s Plate over the years have hosted celebrities including former Miss South Africa & television personality  Jo-Ann Strauss, Jennifer Su, the gorgeous (and for the second time, radiantly pregnant) Lee-Ann Liebenberg with her husband Nicky Van Der Walt. The 153rd L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate is one of the most prestigious horse-racing events and last Saturday guests donned their cordial blue and white attire at the Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town. It was certainly a star studded event with model and television personality Cindy Nell, who won the award for Best Dressed Woman wearing a Jason Kieck creation along with a fascinator by The Little Hattery. Actress Natalie Becker looked so chic in a vintage dress by Vintage In The City and Jennifer Su selected a stunning blue dress by Pallu. Liezel van der Westhuizen looked amazing in a dress by Lipsy. This year, the LQP added Best Dressed Man to the events festivities and it was comedian Siv Ngesi who became the first man to be honored with this accolade. Television and radio personalities who also attend included Janez Vermeiren, Leigh-Anne Williams, Kia Johnson and Ayanda Tini to name a few.
